Today we heard about a cause we would love for everyone to support. Brick House Diner in Midlothian is sponsoring Christmas for Madelyne, a special breakfast with Santa, on December 12 and 19, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Madelyne is a 2nd grader at Gordon Elementary School who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in July. After numerous rounds of chemotherapy, she is now at MCV fighting H1N1 and pneumonia.

Donations will be accepted and money from each ticket will be donated to the family. Bracelets and t-shirts will also be for sale during the event with proceeds benefitting the family.

Madelyne and her family have been through a lot this year and could really use our help. Brick House Diner is a great place to eat and the owners are the best. They support the community and they are doing a wonderful thing by sponsoring this breakfast. Please come out this weekend and next to give back.
